SHELTER - No Sequel? Empty SHELTER - No Sequel?

Post by eric85 June 9th 2011, 2:38 pm

The news looks bad folks. If you haven't already seen it, Trevor recently posted this on his Facebook page:

"For all of you who would like to see a Shelter 2, well me too! But unfortunately i don't
think thats gonna happen Sad"

No word if it's a lack of money or no interest by Here! Films or perhaps Jonah? I gotta believe that Brad Rowe would do a sequel in a heartbeat. Wish we could start an email campaign or something.

BTW, as Doreen reported elsewhere in this Forum, Trevor has launched his own clothing line. There's a website mostly up that has a cool video of The Man and some cute chick. Take a look at:

Here's an update. Apparently the problem with making Shelter 2 is -- no surprise -- money. Apparently, Regent/Here, who own the film are in bankruptcy. This is what JD Disalvatore, the talented producer of Shelter (and other films), posted:

"They'll be lucky to see Shelter 1 in a few years considering the bank repossessed it in that big $90 million fraud case against Regent/here...."

Sad.

Hi, Eric!
Have you read my comment to Trevors post on FB?

I don't think, that we need Shelter 2. Shelter is perfect in itself.
Just try to imagine, what could happen in Part 2. Zach is successful at the Cal Arts. And Shaun sits at home with Cody and waits for the success of one of his scripts. They have problems and Cody is sad. In the (Hollywood)-end Shaun's script will be successful (with a little help of Zach) and all will be glad.
It could be nice - but if it is not? There will be a big screaming around the world. Maybe this sequel will destroy some of the magic of part 1.

Of course, it would be interesting. Everyone of us wants to see Trevor and Brad together again...

So let us hope. Brad's new movie "Your love never fails" seems to be real good.
It would be so great to see Trevor in a leading role of a new dramatic love story!

Please excuse my terrible English.. Embarassed

Oh, Eric, I see you're from Austin! Did you visit the Railroad Revival Tour Concert? I have watched this event from Germany, because Jake Gyllenhaal, my favourite actor, accompanied the band Mumford and Sons. Sorry, is there another Thread for OFF TOPIC-talks like this?
